Get Cozy in Uptown

Coal Vines opened 9 years ago in Uptown and has since emerged throughout the metroplex by franchising opportunities. This original location, however, remains locally owned by Mr. Joe Palladino whose New York roots influence the Italian cuisine while reflecting the Dallas demographic.

If you’ve ever stepped foot inside this quaint eatery, you know how intimate and romantic the setting is. A dimly lit interior with subtle dark décor and cozy tables make an ideal ambiance for a first date or an evening with the girls before hitting the town.

I’m a sucker for anything served in a tower formation and Coal Vines Salmon Tartare fits the bill! This wonderfully layered appetizer starts off with smoked and fresh salmon, then goat cheese, avocado, more salmon, and then finished off with pomegranate seeds and vinaigrette. And yes, it does taste as amazing as it looks!

Is there anything more Italian than meatballs? How about a nice red sauce? Better yet, how about both! Beef, pork, and veal make up Coal Vines savory meatballs. Ask for them as a standalone option or add to your favorite dish!
Coal Vines is home to an award winning Caesar Salad with imported Italian anchovies, house made garlic and herb croutons and a signature dressing. The croutons taste like no croutons you’re used to! They’re light, airy, and explode with flavor. I seriously could not stop eating this salad!
The Chop Salad is a colorful, flavorful option with spring mix lettuce, dates, strawberries, and agave vinaigrette. Although a lighter fare, this salad will dazzle your taste buds. Add grilled chicken and you’ve just created a fabulous, filling, healthy meal.
Coal Vines cooks all pizzas at 730 degrees and uses both gas and coal ovens. If you’re from the Northeast you know how challenging finding a true white pizza can be. You will be pleased when your White Special is brought to your table. Sliced tomatoes rest on a bed of mozzarella, ricotta, and Parmesan cheeses. No Alfredo sauce here folks! Remember those meatballs we had earlier? Well here they are on a pizza with a habanero puree added into the sauce!
Ready for desert? Made in-house daily, the Tiramisu will highlight the tradition of an Italian meal in the center of Dallas.

Coal Vines has a vast wine selection with several options between $7-10 per glass. Purchasing a bottle is never a bad idea!

Don’t want to leave the house? No problem! Have Coal Vines at your doorstep in minutes by ordering online with Caviar!
