Food, Menu Review

It’s Always BBQ Time in Texas

As you walk up to get in line, you’ll notice several picnic tables that scream “sit here and drink a cold beer” especially in the awesome spring weather we’ve been having! I mean, who doesn’t love a fantastic patio? But you need to be patient, you’re just arriving and the best is yet to be discovered.

Ten50 is unique in that you place your meat order outside and the pit masters chop, slice, and portion your meat in front of you! All meats are smoked for 12-16 hours on house made charcoals made from oak, hickory, pecan, and mesquite. Prime Brisket, Pulled Pork, and Rob’s Ranch Chicken can be ordered by the half pound.

Meat plates are an option as well and come with your choice of two sides made in-house daily. My favorites were the Five Cheese Mac and Potato Salad.

When Texans say we like the heat we’re referring to more than the 100 degree summers! This is also true when is come to levels of heat in our food. Ten50 isn’t lacking in this with the Chicken and Brisket Torpedoes. Jalapeños stuffed with meat then wrapped in bacon and grilled over an open flame are hot both on and off the grill!

No BBQ feast is complete without the southern staple of Banana Pudding! Made daily in the Ten50 kitchen along with the Pie of the Day. On my visit the cool Key Lime was on the menu and was the perfect ending to a wonderful Texas style meal.
