The 2018 San Antonio Cocktail Conference

SACC

The San Antonio Cocktail Conference is the largest booze fest in Texas and I am beyond excited to have been accepted this year! My trip is officially booked and now I need to start preparing for all the fun events I get to attend, the interviews I’ll be conducting, and of course the dreaded task of packing! Before I leave on Thursday, I wanted to share some of the events I’ll be going to.

The first event is the Opening Night Party at The Doseum presented by World Car.

“Returning to one of San Antonio’s most colorful destinations, we’re turning the children’s museum into an adult playground, with the whimsy it exhibits during the day, and the cocktails added for evening fun. From the moment you are welcomed in the door, this is an amazing and entertaining cocktail experience and a stellar celebration, with a variety of music, food and fun offered throughout the museum to accent your craft cocktails.”

Tickets are $85 and are available for purchase here.

Boozy fun will be had during the day too! Friday and Saturday is when I will be conducting interviews with the best booze reps in the biz! Some featured brands I will be learning more about are Glenfiddich, Tullamore D. E. W., Reyka Vodka, The Balvine, and Hendrick’s Gin. You’ll definitely want to read my event recap to see what happened during these seminars and private tastings!

Friday night will be a long one! Waldorf on the Prairie is hosted at the St. Anthony Hotel from 7:30-11pm.

“We treasure our time at the beautiful St. Anthony Hotel, with its unique blend of New York Edwardian-era decor and romance, and old Texas charm. We weave the cocktail experience throughout the downstairs ballrooms and into the grand Peacock Alley, resplendent with exquisite food and drink, wonderful music and all the accompaniments that make this a signature event for SA Cocktail Conference. This party will remind you why this beauty is one of our foremost grand hotels.”

Tickets for this event are $100 and are available here.

As this event concludes I will be heading up to the next party, poolside at the St. Anthony (really hoping there’s heaters!) for the Monkey Shoulder After Party.

“And after the party it’s the After-Party! Come join Monkey Shoulder as our team of industry veterans jump behind-the-stick to guest bartend alongside our cheeky Brand Ambassador, Seb Derbomez, serving up some delicious Monkey Shoulder cocktails from their respective craft cocktail bars.”

This event is FREE but you do have to RSVP here.

Really hoping I don’t have too early of a day Saturday because some recovery time will be necessary for survival! And I’ll probably wake up craving tacos.

Saturday night is the event I’m looking most forward to, mainly because of it’s name, Cocktails Under the Sea. It just sounds magical!

“A new theme, a new venue, and a beautiful way to close out SACC 2018! You won’t believe you’re in downtown San Antonio as you are transported ‘under the sea’ with cocktails, food, and music in this illuminated and exotic setting. Don’t let this underwater evening float by without you.”

Tickets are $85 and available for purchase here.

Sunday is always a day of rest and relaxation for me. Thankfully SACC recognized we need this and incorporated an event to help us all unwind and recoup. The Hendrick’s Ministry of Relaxation is held at the Peraux Room at the St. Anthony Hotel on Saturday from 12-5pm and Sunday from 10am-5pm.

“Foot Massage with your Negroni? As a respite from the hustle and bustle of the conference, the Hendrick’s Lounge is offering an array of spa treatments, from reflexology to facials – along with a lovely array of cocktails. Visit our lounge, compliments of The Hendrick’s Ministry of Relaxation.”

Both dates are FREE but RSVP is required here for Saturday and here for Sunday.
