I feel quite fortunate to have a neighborhood seafood restaurant that is constantly exceeding my high expectations for quality food. I can honestly say I am enamored by every dish I have been served at Fish City Grill in Las Colinas both by presentation and deliciousness. Combining the creole flavors of New Orleans and sophistication of Dallas, I’m proud to say one of my favorite restaurants has secured their niche in DFW.
Synonymous with Cajun cooking is a strong cocktail am I right? No surprise Fish City realizes that relationship when you can order a Hurricane off the cocktail menu! A sinfully easy to drink combination of Bacardi Superior Rum, Myers Jamaican Dark Rum, and fresh orange and pineapple juices. My personal favorite thing to drink here is the Pineapple Infused Vodka Martini. A simple concept of immersing fresh pineapple with a Texas vodka until naturally sweet, pouring into a martini glass, and serving as a specialty cocktail! Have more than one of either of these and you will be dancing to the jazz playing in the background in no time!

Fish City is a true seafood joint in every way you would expect. This means several ways to enjoy the delectable oyster. One of the most creative ways is by frying the oysters and adding chipotle tartar sauce and fresh pico de gallo on a corn tortilla chip. They are so confident you will clean the plate they’ve implemented a, Love em or well buy em guarantee!

If grilled is more your style, then definitely order the Char-Grilled Oysters in a lemon pepper butter sauce with grated Parmesan. The flavor on these is ridiculous!

Have a craving for crawfish? You’ve come to the right place! Thanks to Old Man Winter for sitting this year out, the crawfish are bigger and better! Sit down and share (or don’t!) a bucket of mudbugs seasoned just how you like! Beware, the seasonings can get hotter than the Texas summers!

If you prefer your crawfish to be plated, the Crawfish Half and Half is your calling! Fried and crispy crawfish tails and crawfish etouffee serves with white rice. Talk about your mudbug mania!

In addition to the regular menu, Fish City also offers several daily specials incorporating the freshest, in season, fish along with house made sides delightfully plated and mouthwateringly scrumptious. During my visit, one of the specials was the Grilled Swordfish Veronique. A hearty steak of swordfish is grilled and seasoned impeccably with a rosemary brown butter, grapes, shaved almonds, sautéed broccolini, and melting potatoes. This dish is a dream! So light and buttery. You have my word you will not be disappointed with any of their chalkboard specials!

Whats a seafood restaurant without fish tacos? The Serafins Fish Tacos are wrapped in a warm flour tortilla then grilled. Served with tangy cabbage, pico de gallo, shredded cheese, and the most wonderful ranchero sauce and a side of rice pilaf. You even have the choice of fried, grilled, or blackened tilapia!

Lets hope you’re coherent enough from the cocktails and fighting off the food coma to order Homemade Bread Pudding! A sweet, delicate dessert topped with a whiskey caramel sauce will end your meal on a high note.

Be sure to ask your server for Gluten-Free options! Most wines are available by the glass or bottle and they also serve brunch on Sundays!
