Bringing Style Back Into Family Dining

If you’ve ever eaten at one of Buca di Beppo’s many restaurants, you know how unique their décor is. The walls are filled with old-timey photos that are reminiscent of a simpler time. A time when family was all that mattered and each home had a table that was large enough to welcome the Pope, should he happen to stop by. Buca di Beppo has taken this family philosophy and transformed it into a family dining experience unlike anywhere else.

First thing you need to know is everything is served family style. That is, each dish is large enough to feed at least 4 adults. The meal is introduced with fresh baked, warm Italian style sourdough bread with a dish of olive oil and sweet balsamic as a dipping sauce.

Buca’s specialty is catering to large parties for any occasion so make sure you look over their fantastic drink menu. After all, even a Tuesday can be a celebration so reward yourself with a Frozen Beppo Bellini. An Italian style cocktail that is both tropical and naturally sweet.

Not in the mood for a frozen concoction? Try the Raspberry Fizz! This is a traditional Italian cream soda, made in-house and is perfect for the whole family!

When ordering anything off the menu, don’t forget everything is meant to be shared! You wouldn’t want to fill up on appetizers now would you?! When the Buca Trio Platter is brought to your table you’re going to want to devour the fried mozzarella, stuffed mushrooms, and fried calamari served with a house made marinara sauce.

Think the Mozzarella Caprese can’t possibly fill you up? Served with thick slices of mozzarella, vine ripened tomatoes, fresh basil, and basil infused olive oil drizzled over the top this is not your average Caprese salad for one!

Italian’s are known for cooking with love and the food is a means to bring people together, Buca di Beppo emphasizes these traditions in each item on the menu. The portions only get more generous as you move on to entrees. The Chicken Carbonara is sure to be a family favorite. Chicken, peas, and pasta covered in a creamy Alfredo sauce with garlic and prosciutto.

If you need something a bit heartier give the Baked Rigatoni a try. This dish has spicy Italian sausage tossed in a meat sauce and finished off with fresh mozzarella, Parmesan, and ricotta cheese.

For those with a passion for seafood, the Linguine Frutti di Mare is an elegantly plated entrée with shrimp, baby clams, calamari, and mussels all brought together with a red clam sauce that offers just the right amount of spice.

If you’re like me you’re probably wishing you wore pants with an elastic waistband, your belly is full, you have leftovers that will make everyone at the office envious, you’ve laughed and have a wonderful meal in a charming setting. When you’re asked if you have room for dessert the answer is always YES! The Colossal Brownie Sundae is made with chunks of brownies that are made fresh every morning, vanilla and chocolate ice cream, covered in caramel and chocolate syrup, then loaded with whipped cream, and of course, a cherry on top. So everyone grab a spoon and dig in! This is a dessert like no other!

I received dinner in exchange for my review. All opinions are mine.
