Food, Menu Review

A Peek into Twin Peaks

When you think of eating at Twin Peaks, your mind immediately goes to greasy bar food. I know this because it was one of the closest sports bars to me for years and I ate the greasy madness more times than I wish to admit, even to myself! Time after time when we went to watch big games with a large group, we struggled (especially the girls) with what to order to offset the giant beers we knew we’d be drinking! Well hallelujah, they’ve finally done it! A sports bar with not only lighter, healthier options, but choices to meet all dietary needs and restrictions!

For the Carnivore: The Hunter’s Meat and Cheese Board

Twin Peaks has introduced a charcuterie option! It is beautifully arranged with the most glorious Jalapeno-Cheddar Sausage! Literally we fought over the last piece! Billionaire’s Bacon that is peppery perfection, Capicola Ham for a salty meat, Smoked Gouda, Creole Mustard, and a mouth-watering Sriracha-Pimento Cheese to spread on Grilled Sourdough or pair with your favorite meat!

For the Herbivore: The Imposter

Now I’m not one to ever order anything vegetarian personally, however, I have plenty of friends who are either vegetarian or vegan and they always end up just snacking on carrots and celery. The Imposter is changing all that! A Beyond Meat plant-based burger patty that is so very juicy and has that distinct smoked, grilled flavor, topped with Pepper Jack Cheese, Arugula, Tomato, Pickles, and Caramelized Onions with a Sun Dried Tomato Mayo and Creole Mustard on a whole wheat Challah Bun served with their famous Sweet Potato Fries. I’m so serious about this burger that it’s all I wanted to eat after I took the first bite! I highly recommend this burger for everyone!

For the Lean Meat Eater: Fowl Play

A house-made Turkey Patty with Smoked Gouda, Arugula, Cilantro, Lime Vinaigrette, Tomato, Red Onions, Roasted Poblano Honey Mustard on a Whole Wheat Bun and served with Sweet Potato Fries. So This burger was good and savory, but I preferred The Imposter! I know, crazy right?! This is a great healthier option if you’re veering away from red meat. You can also sub a turkey patty on any of their burgers!

For the Sweet Tooth: Mini Apple Turnovers

OMG I can’t even begin to write about these without drooling, y’all! The apples are cooked to a soft, silky texture and dusted with Cinnamon and Sugar. They are served warm and with a Caramel Sauce and Vanilla Ice Cream! Make sure to get everything on the spoon for a heavenly bite!
